PRESS RELEASE: Announcing It's Boss Time campaign to bring Bruce Springsteen to Atlantic Canada!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Atlantic Canada Rocks launches new campaign to lure Bruce Springsteen to the East Coast

NOVEMBER 28TH 2011

Halifax N.S – Atlantic Canada Rocks today announced It’s Boss Time, a web / social media campaign aimed at luring musician Bruce Springsteen to the East Coast. The campaign website can be accessed at http://ItsBossTime.ca.

Earlier this month, Springsteen announced his return to the stage with the promise of a world tour and new record to be released in 2012 with the E Street Band. The new album will mark Springsteen’s first since the death of fellow E Street Bandmate Clarence Clemons earlier this year.

The initial announcement mentions stadium and festival dates for Europe in late June thru mid July 2012. News of US stadium dates, as well as shows for the rest of the world are to be expected in the coming weeks and months. No mention of Atlantic Canadian dates were made.

“Springsteen is at the top of many fans concert lists and I think it’s time we band together and show The Boss that music lovers in Atlantic Canada want to see him perform” says Cole McLean, founder and managing editor at AtlanticCanadaRocks.ca.

In 2008, McLean created a campaign to bring rock-band AC/DC to the region. In total, the Facebook-powered group gathered over 27,000 loyal followers. The campaign finished having accomplished it’s goal with the AC/DC show happening on August 6, 2009 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

“Fan demand is the single greatest influence on an artist’s touring schedule. If we all come together, I think we can definitely make something happen, whether it be in Halifax or Moncton. Dialogue among fans always makes things better” continued McLean.

The campaign website is now live at http://itsbosstime.ca.
