Get ready to FREDROCK!

Today is the day! For the third year in a row, music lovers will come from all around the region for what will be yet another amazing year at the FredRock Festival.

We are less than 12 hours away from the kick off with Carmen Townsend at approximately 5:30pm. As the night continues we will witness performances from Serena Ryder, and Atlantic Canada’s own Classified and Joel Plaskett Emergency.

Once the clock turns to 11:30pm, Montreal’s Sam Roberts Band will take the stage for what promises to be an energetic set. Sam will most definitely showcase new tunes from his latest album “Collider” but you can be certain we will hear his signature songs such as “Hard Road”, “Brother Down” and “Bridge to Nowhere”.

The weather is expected to be SUNNY with a high of 28 celsius, a welcome addition for concertgoers. With the UV index at 7, bring lots of sunscreen. It should also be noted that the show will go well into the morning hours of Sunday, so bring a sweater or jacket just in case.

For fans staying at The Delta Fredericton ( the festival’s main hotel partner), there will be a shuttle to bring you back from the show, though you will need to find your own way there, a cab will run you around $10.The shuttle runs from 12:30am-2:30am.

While a lenghty list of do’s and donut’s could not be found, it’s safe to assume the usual. No pro cameras, no medication or food unless for medical reason, no alcohol, etc.

In previous years, FredRock featured acts such as The Black Crowes, Live, Our Lady Peace and Matt Mays.

Tickets will be available today through the will call tent at the gate only for $75, a big turnout is expected so get there early if you need a ticket. For those who chose the ticket pick up option in advance, they will be there as well.

The venue is located at the Fredericton Loyalist Rugby Grounds.

The full schedule is : Carmen Townsend : 5:30pm, Serena Ryder: 6:45pm, Classifed: 8:15pm, Joel Plaskett : 9:45pm and THE SAM ROBERTS BAND at 11:30pm.
