Last Minute: Pearl Jam to play Atlantic Canada?(UPDATED)

Posts from fans in Pearl Jam’s TenClub are talking about the potential for a Canadian tour announcement to come later this afternoon.

What’s interesting about this is that the time of the announcement is listed as 1pm AST. (They mean ADT I presume) As you know, that is the timezone for the Maritime provinces.

While not related to the East, a Saskatoon radio station has said a major announcement is coming at 10am CDT, which lines up with the 1pm ADT time. They say the band is “huge in the 90s and beyond”.

Many people are doubting the possibility of East Coast dates on the tour, although I remain optimistic.

Pearl Jam last played Atlantic Canada in 2005 and fans called the Halifax date one of the best shows of that tour. St. Johns also saw a couple of dates.

UPDATE: 1pm came and went, and unfortunately there were no East Coast dates added to the tour. Fingers crossed that that we will see a Pearl Jam date somewhere in the future, or between Toronto and Montreal.

Will you attend the Pearl Jam show if it happens? What did you think of the 2005 show?
