Four-time JUNO Award-winning rock band Arkells have achieved their first Gold-selling album with High Noon and will return to Halifax to perform at the Halifax Forum Multi-Purpose Centre on Saturday, Jan. 23.

Upon its premiere, High Noon hit #1 on the Canadian iTunes chart and debuted at #3 on the overall Canadian Neilsen Soundscan chart, and #2 on the Digital Albums chart. High Noon is the band’s third studio album and features the #1 single at Alternative radio, “Leather Jacket”, as well as the first single off the album “Come To Light”, and the band’s latest single “11:11”

Protest the Hero – Halifax

Progressive metal band Protest The Hero return to Halifax to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their debut full-length Kezia at the Marquee Ballroom on Saturday, Nov. 28.

Performing Kezia from beginning to end, the band will consist of the original line up, including Rody WalkerLuke Hoskin and Tim Millar, as well as, former drummer Moe Carlson and bassist Arif Mirabdolbaghi.

The band said, “We have been waiting to announce this little gem for a while now! Ever since we put up our “portal” for people to submit their Kezia memories / experiences for our scrap book, we noticed a huge demand for us to do a run of shows where we play this bad boy front to back. So we thought to ourselves… Why the frig not?”
