Five Man Electrical Band; Platinum Blonde; One Bad Son and more to rock Parlee Beach; on sale Saturday

Music has finally returned to Parlee Beach after many years of waiting, and music fans will be delighted that the festival will feature many excellent classic rock acts, fused with some of the best of new rock.

The Festival will begin Friday, July 31st at 6pm with gates opening at 4pm. Friday features the reunion of Matt Minglewood and Sam Moon, as “Full Moon Minglewood Rising.” This iconic maritime musical duo will showcase their finest songs with ECMA nominees Mike Biggar Band from Quispamsis and Kickin’ Krotch of Fredericton opening the show.

On Saturday the music starts at 3pm. Headlining Saturday’s event are The Trews featuring songs from their newly released album and other favourites such as “New King”, “Tired of Waiting”, “Not Ready to Go” and many more. Well known Canadian classic rockers Helix will perform their anthems such as; “Rock You”, “Gimme Gimme Good Loving” and “Heavy Metal Love” to name a few. In addition, two of Canada’s hottest new bands inluding, One Bad Son with current hits “Black Buffalo”, “Retribution Blues”, and “Scarecrows” and Nova Scotia’s Gloryhound, with songs such as; “I Can Change”, “Electric Dusk” and “Let You Down Again” take the stage on the same bill. Opening the evening will be Moncton’s own Matt Landry Band, featuring their own original and cover music.

Sunday’s music begins at 4pm and includes Canadian Classic Rock Superstars and multi award-winners Honeymoon Suite, whose numerous hits include “Burning in Love”, “New Girl Now”, “Feel it Again” as well as Platinum Blonde with their hit songs that include “Doesn’t Really Matter”, “Cryin’ Over You”, “Situation Critical” and others. Sunday’s show will feature a rare opportunity for fans to see the “Five Man Electrical Band” singing classics like “Signs”, “Werewolf”, “Absolutely Right” and “Money Back Guarantee”. Sunday’s music will begin with special guests Loaded Dice, Atlantic Canada’s Premiere Tribute To Classic Rock.

The festival will be held near Parlee Beach at Shediac’s CENTRE for Speed – Entertainment Park which is located at 1157 Route 133 East in Grand Barachois.

Discounted “Early Bird” tickets will go on sale for a limited time and with limited quantity starting on Saturday, May 16th at 10am. These will be available online from the festival website (parleebeachmusicfestival.com ) or by calling 506-382-1234.   All major credit cards will be accepted. Prices for “Early Birds” range from $17.50 for just Friday to $49.95 for the full weekend pass and $135 for the 3 Day VIP.  One day passes for Saturday and Sunday are $34.50 each. All prices are plus Tax & Service Charge. The all-inclusive VIP passes include reserved seating with table and chair, complimentary beverages, excellent sightlines and dedicated full service washroom facilities and are available for two or three day ticket packages. Grandstand seating and ample standing room will ensure an enjoyable experience for everyone. The festival will provide a variety of onsite quality foods, beverages and merchandise as well as onsite parking ($10). Camping is priced for the weekend (from Thursday at 6pm to Monday at 12 noon) from $69 for Campsites to $169 for RV’s (plus taxes and charges).
