Maritime Countryfest reveals 2015 date and lineup; on sale Now with special offer

Get ready to kick off the first weekend of summer in Fredericton!

Maritime Countryfest organizers today announced that the 2015 event would take place June 20th in Fredericton’s Officers’ Square.

Muti platinum selling country artist Johnny Reid will return to the Maritimes to headline in Fredericton.

“Johnny Reid’s name is one we have been talking about since we acquired MCF three years ago,” said Ray Haines, Promoter and Festival Vice President. “He’s the package deal, a singer, songwriter, storyteller and performer. In ten years, he’s had over a million album sales, won well over 20 Canadian Country Music Awards and four Juno Awards. His ability to connect with fans and offer a one-of-a-kind performance makes him the perfect fit for the festival’s 10th anniversary.”

Reid will release a new album this fall, with a single due in May.

The festival will also feature special guests The Road Hammers, touring in support of their latest album “Wheels”, Joe Diffie, who has seen 20 top 10 hits such as “Honky Tonk Attitude” and “John Deere Green”.  Rounding out the lineup is Kentucky country folk duo  Sundy Best, who recently completed a very successful Canadian Tour opening up for Dallas Smith.
