A Shania Twain Recap

A Shania Twain Recap

Lights, theatrics, dancing and more could be seen and heard from the Charlottetown Event Grounds on August 30th.
The Charlottetown waterfront played host to the Founders Week concert series for PEI 2014. PEI’s own Trinity Bradshaw, Corey Hart and Shania Twain entertained a crowd of over 24,000 people.

The show started out with Summerside, PEI native, Trinity Bradshaw. Her raspy powerful vocals to songs like “Never Drinkin’ Again”, powered with her energetic personality was just the boost needed to begin the exciting days’ festivities that people were anxiously awaiting! We’ve definitely not seen the last of this incredible young artist!

Up next was critically acclaimed as multi-award winning singer/songwriter Corey Hart! This was a big deal to have him play on PEI for a lot of reasons, the biggest reasons being that he had ever played her before during his entire career and also the fact that he had since retired! So, it was a real treat to PEI that he was able to come and entertain! With classics like “Sunglasses At Night”, “Never Surrender” and “Boy In The Box”, he certainly did not disappoint! To add to he excitement of his first time to PEI, he also reprised the Stompin’ Tom Connors Classic “Bud The Spud!”

After months of rumor, speculation and waiting patiently… She arrived.. Shania came out in a blaze of fire! She brought the excitement and thrill of her Las Vegas show to Prince Edward Island! From the moment she stepped out onto the stage she had the crowd in the palm of her hand! It was a night of greatest hits and tones of fun with hit song after hit song like “Honey, I’m Home”, “Any Man Of Mine”, and “From This Moment On!” Along with her great songs, came her incredible singers, dancers and band along with an incredible fireworks display that went off directly after her set! Needless to say, those who were there definitely got their money’s worth, proving yet again, that PEI is definitely becoming a new hot spot for great acts!

Peace, Love, and Music!
