On behalf of Jay’s family, Allison Saunders said:
“Both the BGC and YMCA of Cape Breton are rooted in Jay’s community, providing program access to individuals and families that support mental and physical wellbeing. Jay and his sister grew up with the Boys & Girls Club in their hometown, Whitney Pier, and we are grateful to the YMCA; during our most difficult time, it served as our primary means of coping. A heartfelt thanks to all the musicians, organizers, and attendees of the concerts held over the past 10 years in memory of Jay. We hope the funds raised this year will help more families like ours, as they cope with life’s challenges.”
