Avril Lavigne will tour Canada for the first time in a decade this May.
The 14 city ”Bite Me Canada 2022 tour” opens on the East Coast with dates in Moncton and Halifax. grandson and Mod Sun will support Lavigne on the trek.
The first stop will take place at the Avenir Centre May 3rd, followed by the Scotiabank Centre May 4th.
Tickets go on sale December 3rd to the general public at 10am.
The tour arrives on the heels of Lavigne’s latest release, “Bite Me!”.
“Avril Lavigne recently signed to DTA Records and released “Bite Me” featuring Travis Barker, her first release of new music since 2019’s “Head Above Water”. According to Lavigne, the track is “an anthem about knowing your worth, what you deserve, and not giving someone a second chance who doesn’t deserve you.” New music and a new album will follow in 2022.” organizers Live Nation said in a Friday release.
The tour also marks the 20th anniversary of the multi platinum debut “Let Go” featuring worldwide hits “Complicated” and “Sk8er Boi”. Lavigne states she is excited to return home. “I’m so excited to come home and rock out with you Canada! I can’t wait to see you in person this Spring!”, shares Avril.

Tickets for the Moncton show will be available at the Avenir Centre Box Office (150 Canada St.) and online at avenircentre.com, evenko.ca and livenation.com. Tickets will be available in person at the Avenir Centre Box Office (150 Canada Street) beginning on Monday, December 6 at 9 a.m. Price: $35.50-$100.50, plus fees and taxes.
