Area 506 reveal 2019 lineup; Interpol, City and Colour, more.

Area 506 has revealed their 2019 lineup, including, for the first time, a third night. The event will be held as usual at Long Wharf in Saint John NB over the New Brunswick Day weekend from Aug 2-4.

“We’re incredibly excited about this year’s lineup,” says Ray Gracewood, Chairman of the Area 506 committee. “We’ve been able to grow this festival steadily over the past four years with the support of incredible partners and sponsors, and of course the fans. This year we’ve added a third night of music at Long Wharf and we couldn’t be prouder of the lineup we’ve put together. We’re so proud to offer such an amazing weekend of music, culture, and goods. It’s is our biggest year yet.”

This year’s event marks the first time Main Stage ticketed events will be all ages shows.

Friday’s Main Stage line-up includes: Joel Plaskett Emergency, Wintersleep, FM Berlin, and The Backstays.

Saturday’s Main Stage line-up includes: Interpol, Matthew Good, Dear Rouge, The Motorleague, Christina Martin, Jamie Comeau & the Crooked Teeth, and Kylie Fox.

Sunday’s Main Stage line-up includes: City and Colour, Tokyo Police Club, Rural Alberta Advantage, The Galpines, Les Paiens, Bleum, and The Crossroad Devils.

An extremely limited number of Pre-Early Bird festival passes go on sale Thursday, April 4th at 4:00 p.m. at www.Area506.ca for $99 + HST and applicable taxes. Immediately following, early bird passes will be available for $119 for a limited time.  Regular weekend passes are $149.00 + HST and applicable fees. A limited number of VIP weekend passes are available for $299 + HST and applicable taxes. Single day tickets are also available, as are free tickets for those under the age of twelve.

The AREA 506 Lotto Max VIP Experience, sponsored by Lotto Max, includes preferred viewing area, patio seating area, dedicated VIP-only entry line, dedicated washrooms, and a VIP bar. All VIP ticket holders must be 19 years of age or older.
