Set The List to Campaign for Dean Brody’s Halifax Performance October 24th

DeanBrody_GypsyRoad_HiResYou can bid to hear your favourite Dean Brody song live in Halifax at the Scotiabank Centre on October 24th! The song that raises the most money is guaranteed to get played. The person who bids the most will get mentioned by Dean from stage.

100% of the proceeds made from the bids will go to The Dean Brody Foundation (Click on the link to learn more about this incredible foundation).

You can bid for your favourite song at http://www.setthelist.com/. Here is some information about Set The List.

What is Set the List, you ask?
Fans offer a minimum $1 donation as a vote for their favourite song (selected from a list of rarely played artist-curated material) and the song that raises the most funds is added to the set list. All proceeds are donated to the charity of the artists’ choice.

Who benefits?
Everyone does!! Fans benefit by interacting with their favourite artists and influencing their overall concert experience. Artists benefit by increasing fan interaction and leveraging their profile for good. Charities benefit by receiving 100% of every vote. It’s that simple.

A Set The List Scenario
Let’s take a look at Jason Mraz, for example. He’s an artist who is deeply involved in social issues and has an extensive discography, making him the perfect candidate for a Set the List campaign. Since the release of his most recent album on July 11, 2014, Mraz has played 98 concert halls with an average of 2500 attendees. If a mere 5% of fans participated in a Set the List campaign for this tour, donating at least $1 per vote, Mraz would have raised $12,250 for a charity of his choice by simply playing one fan-selected song each night. To offer another example for scale, Taylor Swift carries a reputation as a highly charitable celebrity (voted “Most Charitable” by DoSomething.org in 2014), and has a strong following of very socially active fans. So far in 2015 she has played 56 arena shows with an average of 30,000 attendees per show. Had she leveraged a Set the List campaign for these dates, Ms. Swift could have donated an additional $84,000 to one of her 26 affiliated charities (based on a 5% participation rate at $1/vote).

Fuelled by the power of fan engagement, Set the List is about to amplify our ability to change the world.

**Even if you cannot make the show on the 24th, we at Atlantic Canada Rock are behind this incredible foundation 100%, and we encourage you to make a small donation to this incredible cause.
