Fans of the New Glasgow Riverfront Jubilee can now rejoice, as the first of their 20th anniversary lineup has now been released!
That’s right, fans can now find out who will open and close this spectacular Natal Day weekend in New Glasgow.
Organizers today announced that The Trews would open the festival with a Friday night headlining performance.
“We’re bringing back one of our crowd favorites from the past ten years to the Jubilee Stage”, says Munroe. “From their debut on the Jube stage in 2005 to their raucus sets in 2010 and 2011, The Trews never fail to amaze and bring their straightforward and honest rock show to the masses in what has become a bit of a homecoming for the guys”.
There’s a more where that came from… as none other than Steve Earle and the Dukes will close out the show on Sunday in what organizers are calling “The most accomplished musician we’ve ever had on our stage”
“The Jubilee has staged some amazing performers over the past twenty years, but this may be the most accomplished musician we’ve ever had on our stage” said Carlton Munroe, Executive Director. “Steve Earle is a legend, one of the great American songwriters of our time, and to have him perform with The Dukes in New Glasgow, it promises to be a memorable night on the riverfront. His music speaks for itself – 16 studio albums over four decades, including his most recent release “Terraplane”, a blues record that has already garnered critical and commercial success. His performance will cover the entire catalogue, and we can’t wait”.

Further details on opening acts as well as the Saturday headliner are yet to come.
