Maritime music fans are getting rocked like a hurricane this September.

Legendary German hard rock band Scorpions, in association with Sonic Concerts have announced that they will perform at the Moncton Coliseum on September 16th, along with very special guests Queensryche.

The Moncton stop is part of the band’s extensive 2015 world tour including cities such as Toronto, San Jose, Rome and Paris, as well as an extensive tour of the group’s home country, Germany.

“50 years after a very young Rudolf Schenker founded the band in the profoundly provincial, post-war Hannover, the Scorpions remain a band that is able to attract masses of new fans at any given time.  The Scorpions are once again at the peak of their creativity with their latest album.  Tracks like the first single “We Built This House” are as contemporary as the sweeping “House Of Cards”. Also belonging in the category live hit is “Eye Of The Storm”, a track, that transports a notion of the unbelievable dynamic and joy of playing, characterizing the Scorpions’ stage performances.”  Sonic Concerts said in a release.

This show will mark the first major indoor exclusive since ZZ Top performed in Moncton in 2013, and is expected to influence several road trips from nearby cities. Tickets are expected to sell very quickly.

Tickets go on sale Saturday at 10am. Tickets will be $68.50 and $88.50 including taxes and service charges.
