Today is a big day for Rod Stewart fans across Atlantic Canada.
The two time rock n’roll Hall of Fame inductee will stop in Cavendish on July 9th, and St. John’s on the 11th.
The Cavendish show takes place at the Cavendish Beach Event Centre(Home of CBMF) and will be going on sale Saturday at 10am at the PEI Brewing Company (96 Kensington Road) and online at rod.whitecapentertainment.com.

“We’ve always wanted to feature more entertainment in our Cavendish venue and when the opportunity arose to have the legendary Rod Stewart, we felt that the time was right. We look forward to welcoming and hosting new and return guests to this wonderful concert venue, which can be enjoyed by concert goers and music lovers of all ages!” organizer Jeff Squires said in a release Thursday.

The St. John’s show takes place July 11th on Confederation Hill in St. John’s featuring Blue Rodeo.
Pete Quinton, President of Mighty Quinton Concerts explains his vision. “Since 2012 I have been searching for the perfect venue for an outdoor festival in St. John’s and I have found that venue at Confederation Hill. Easy for people to walk to and easy for people to find parking.”
It will be an all-day, all-evening music festival beginning at 2pm and ending at 11pm. The organizers plan to announce other music acts over the coming weeks but did reveal that Blue Rodeo have accepted an invitation to be part of this event.
Quinton adds, “I really want people to enjoy the day and evening and the only way to do this is to make it easy for them. Easy to see the show and easy to move around. I really want this to be the most relaxing and comfortable outdoor show that anyone has ever experienced.”.
Advance and VIP Tickets will go on sale at noon on Thursday March 5th, 2015 and can be purchased online at www.confederationhillmusicfest.com, www.etixnow.com and in-store at North Atlantic Orange Stores island-wide. This Festival will be restricted to fans 19 years and older.
