Nothing Else Matters now: METALLICA in Halifax being announced Wednesday with tickets on sale May 12th? (UPDATED)

METALLICA is now one step closer to becoming official! Two weeks ago, ACR reported that Metallica will play Citadel Hill in Halifax on July 14th.

A recent source has told Atlantic Canada Rocks that the Metallica show set for July 14th on Citadel Hill in Halifax will be announced this Wednesday, May 4th.

The announcement will be pushed out via press release.

The details surrounding the show were finalized last weekend following final negotiations with Citadel Hill’s event managers.

It was also indicated that tickets would go on sale on May 12th. It is expected that Ticketpro will be handling ticket sales. Organizers will be selling 30,000 tickets for the show, so get them before they are gone!

Tickets are said to be priced in the $50-%60 range.

As we confirmed previously, the venue is booked for the entire week surrounding the date, which points to a major event being planned.

While opening acts remain unclear at this point, it is said that local bands will be taking part in the festival. There has even been some indication however, that Three Days Grace could make an appearance.

Molson is said to be the producer behind the concert. Molson did not return calls prior to publication.

Metallica has a show in France on July 9th, and last week confirmed that they will be in Quebec on July 16th, which makes the Halifax date fit perfectly.

Stay tuned this week for all of the details!

Will you be rocking with METALLICA this summer on the Hill?
