Atlantic Canada Rocks launches campaign to lure RUSH back to Atlantic Canada 25 years after last appearance
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Halifax N.S – Atlantic Canada Rocks is thrilled to announce “Rush The Hill”, a modern day web / social media campaign aimed at luring rock trio RUSH back to Atlantic Canada in what would be their first show since 1987. The campaign website is accessible at RushTheHill.ca.
In the Spring of this year, the group released their album “Clockwork Angels” and supporting tour dates in North America and Europe. No Atlantic Canadian dates were announced. A North American second leg is in planning stages for Summer 2013.
“RUSH is bigger than ever today and are at the top of fans’ bucket lists right across the region, RUSH last performed in Atlantic Canada 25 years ago to this day and everyone wants to see them again, even new fans are demanding.” said Atlantic Canada Rocks founder Cole McLean.
To promote the campaign, Twitter Retweet events will be happening for each of the cities the band played 25 years ago, on the corresponding show dates from ‘87. October 30- St. John’s NL, November 1, Sydney NS, November 2, Halifax, and finishing up in Moncton on the 4th.
Fans can also support the campaign by “liking” the Facebook Page, following RTH on Twitter, and signing the petition at http://RushTheHill.ca.
This will be the third campaign by McLean and ACR following a successful 2008 campaign that helped lure AC/DC to the region, and another for Bruce Springsteen in 2011. Both campaigns saw corresponding concerts and tens of thousands of supporters.
“Fan demand is what drives these big shows to Atlantic Canada, by all coming together again, we can help bring another big show back to our region, whether in Halifax or Moncton. Fans had to gather and demand the last time RUSH came as well.” McLean concluded.
The Campaign website is now live and can be found at RushTheHill.ca.
