Our Lady Peace, Default and more to “Rock the Boat” next summer; On sale today!

Rock the Boat Music Festival returns to PEI August 6-7 2022 as part of the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival.

Our Lady Peace will headline night 1 of the 2 day festival.

“Get ready to rock at the 8th annual Rock the Boat Music Fest! Our Lady Peace will make its first trip back to Prince Edward Island since 2013. “We are excited to have the OLP crew in Tyne Valley, Finally! They are one of Canada’s greatest musical successes and to have them on PEI and in our community makes us extremely excited” – Adam MacLennan, President and Director of Rock the Boat said in a Friday release.

Default will provide direct support.

“Default is a well known Canadian rock band formed in Vancouver in 1999. Since forming, the band has released four albums, and sold millions of records. The Juno award winning band is best known for their smash hits “Wasting My Time,” “It Only Hurts,” and “Deny.” Lead vocalist Dallas Smith has gone on to have a record setting country music career, but you will still find Default bringing their hard-rocking music to your town, most recently touring with Stone Temple Pilots across Canada.” the release continued.

Emerging island rock bands including Arsenal Mills and Hired Guns will round out the lineup.

More artist announcements will be made soon for the Sunday, August 7th lineup and organizers are putting the finishing touches on Sunday’s lineup.

Rock the Boat Music Festival, is a two-day concert that takes place at Green Park during the Tyne Valley Oyster Festival, has featured Canadian acts such as Blue Rodeo, The Glorious Sons, Trooper, April Wine, Tom Cochrane, The RoadHammers, Haywire, and Alan Doyle in the past.
