Following months of waiting and speculation, Coldplay today announced that their new record would be called “Ghost Stories” and be released to record stores and iTunes on May 19th.
“Ghost Stories” is the follow up to the hugely successful “Mylo Xyolto” album which included hits such as “Paradise” and “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall”.
Lead vocalist Chris Martin joked months ago that the next album would be “easier to pronounce.”
The new single “Magic” can be heard in the video below, and will be immediately downloaded with all iTunes pre-orders.
No tour dates have been announced as of yet but it’s expected that a lengthy North American tour run will accompany the new album. Coldplay hasn’t performed in Atlantic Canada since the 2006 Juno Awards in Halifax, with many fans eager to see an Atlantic stop soon.
What do you think of the new single? Would you like to see Coldplay in Atlantic Canada?
